The 7,600 square foot addition consists of a steel frame building with three apparatus bays and new living quarters for seven firemen above. While the Fire District works on a limited budget and typically builds modest, metal clad fire stations, the prominence of this site and their use of it as headquarters prompted the District to request a more traditional firehouse design for the new addition. This was achieved economically by using limited brick veneer and cementitious siding.
