Michael Savoie Hunley

Michael Savoie Hunley received his B.Arch degree from the University of Southwestern Louisiana in 1992 and received his initial Architecture License in Louisiana in 1999. He and his partner, Shiloh Moates, formed msh architects in 2001 in downtown Covington to practice near home while allowing them to be more involved in their community and the lives of their children. Michael designs and manages a broad range of commercial projects for the firm, taking the lead, particularly on educational and biomedical research facility work. He recently served two years as the Chairman of the State of Louisiana Architects Selection Board. While developing the practice, Michael has also dedicated time to the Covington community. He serves as an advisory board member of the Covington Business Association, is the president of the Pine View Middle School PTA, and, with the help of a dedicated group of volunteers, formed a nonprofit to build and run The Covington Garden, which is an educational endeavor in partnership with the City of Covington and the LSU Ag Center.
